Olivier De Schutter

Olivier De Schutter is professor at the University of Louvain (UCL, Belgium) and at SciencesPo (Paris). Currently a member of the UN Committee on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights, he was the UN Special Rapporteur on the right to food between 2008 and 2014 and Secretary-General of the International Federation for Human Rights (FIDH) between 2004 and 2008. His most recent books are International Human Rights Law (2nd ed. Cambridge Univ. Press, 2014) and Trade in the Service of Sustainable Development. Linking Trade to Labour Rights and Environmental Standards (Hart, 2015).
